Ep. 268: Experiments In Tension, Pt. 3 – Death Of The Infinite Melancholy

When you don’t think you can go on any further, when all is broken and seemingly lost, you look at the pieces of what remains — it’s just you. And though you may not be what you once were, you came out through the other side. You’re here. You made it. The final installment of MrPanda‘s Experiments In Tension highlights this breakthrough. It’s a release. You’re letting go. And it’s almost defiant in its statement. Death Of The Infinite Melancholy is a 60 minute, harder-hitting Drum ‘n’ Bass mix for good reason. It’s a declaration of personal victory — one that came with scars and complex memories but a victory nonetheless. You can look back and see “there was light on the edge of the dark side.” And one final time you say, “So I let you go,” as you give yourself to the music…

Happy New Year, friends! We’re excited to embark on another year of great music together! To celebrate the occasion, we have the incredibly talented MrPanda (TheLostArt, Badwolf Entertainment) back on our airwaves for his 5th episode — an epic, deeply personal 3 part mix series entitled Experiments In Tension. The title stems from music theory, specifically in Jazz, where dissonance is used to create feelings of tension and release. It’s aptly named as these 3 mixes represent the ups & downs, ebbs & flows within relationships and strike an intensely personal chord with MrPanda himself. Part 1 is dubbed Loss & Rediscovery Of Self and features 60 minutes of energetic Liquid Drum & Bass tunes. It presents a path of rediscovering one’s self after loss and starting anew. We hope you join us on this spiritual journey. Filled with passion. Healing. And music…

Ep. 250: Origins

5 years. 250 episodes. 55,000 subscribers. When we started the podcast in 2013, it was just 3 friends in Dallas wanting to put together and share DJ mixes on the internet. We barely knew what we were doing and had no idea if anyone would listen. What motivated us then and what continues to connect with listeners all across the world now is something pretty simple: music. It inspires. It transcends. And it’s been the singular focus of our podcast for our entire existence. We hope you’ve heard some really good music over the past 5 years. We know we have. In that vein, our 3 co-founders have put together an episode of music that inspired them when they first started DJing 10 years ago. It’s an origin story. Enjoy, keep the music loud and thank you for an incredible 5 years!

Hear the passion from Carlos himself as he describes his work, “This mix contains some new stuff, some old stuff and some old stuff in a new wrapping. I tried to combine new sounds with the old sounds, showing where Trance originated and how it has evolved through the years. The last tune especially is very emotional and shows how Trance was back in those days.” We invite you to crank the volume and join Carlos on this 63 minute journey!

Ep. 204: Cuban Cigars & Caviar

Time to get your sub rattling with the return of DJ Serb & Sweetleaf in this week’s episode! Featuring 66 minutes of masterfully blended Trap, Hip-Hop, Dubstep and Festival Trap tracks, this bad boy has some hard-hitting 808s designed to get any club popping. Let’s get to it! Spark it up and keep it loud!

Ep. 203: The Truth

As we say goodbye to summer and welcome the return of cooler temperatures, we also welcome back one of Dallas’ hardest-working DJs for this week’s episode. For the 8th time on our airwaves, we say hello to Reckless Ryan! He’s got some chunky tunes on tap in this beautifully selected 60 minute mix! Ep. 202: Must Summer End?

We say goodbye to our 2017 Summer Series in true come-full-circle fashion by having back the man that got things kicked off this year: J Clay. And dare we say, this mix is as close to perfect as any we’ve ever featured! This 66 minute beauty is tightly mixed, impeccably crafted and truly embodies the end of summer vibes we all feel heading into autumn. It features some of the smoothest Liquid Drum & Bass tunes we’ve heard in a long time. Take these sounds with you as you celebrate Labor Day or head to the beach one last time this year…because all good things must come to an end. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 201: Deep Breath

It’s the second to last episode of our Summer Series as we welcome back Dallas-local BR∆VE to help us wind things down. And boy-oh-boy does he have an eclectic mix in store for us! Featuring 61 minutes of cerebral Indie Dance, Synthwave and Electronica tunes, this mix is perfect for laying out by the pool and catching the last few weeks of sun. Time to relax with this cool breath of fresh air. Breathe it deep…

Ep. 200: Decades Of Dance, Pt. 2

We finish celebrating Ep. 200 with this 2nd part mix from resident DJ Massive Spectre. Dropping club hits from the 90s and 00s, this concludes our special 4 part Ep. 200 by covering 4 decades! Dance music has come a long way in that time but one thing has remained constant: we love shaking our asses to dope music. Come get your groove on and keep the music loud!

Ep. 200: Decades Of Dance, Pt. 1

Holy crap, we’ve turned 4 years old and have hit 200 episodes! When we started the podcast in 2013, we never imagined sharing music with over 34,000 people across the globe each week. We’d like to thank all of the incredibly talented guest DJs we’ve had on throughout the years. You continue to inspire us every Saturday. Most importantly, we want to thank our amazing listeners — especially those who’ve been with us since day 1. Your support has kept us going each week. To celebrate the milestone, our resident DJs have put together a special 2 part mix featuring club tracks from the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s. Part 1, mixed by Maedgen & Wade Weston, spans the first 2 decades of dance club music: the 70s & 80s. Please join us in celebration by keeping the music loud!

Ep. 199: Back To Life

New York City’s Sean Hanna returns for his 2nd Summer Series appearance and 3rd total mix in this week’s episode. And we are feeling the vibes in this one! Sean writes, “This mix to me is more low tempo and ambient. It’s a perfect summer mix for sitting outside with your loved ones and being in nature. Sometimes it’s good to get away, take some time for yourself and come back ready for anything.” Full of groovy House, Disco and Dance tunes, this 63 minute mix will help recharge your batteries. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 198: Smoke & Mirrors

Insanely talented and local Dallas favorite Josh Usre returns for his 3rd appearance on the podcast. And this time, he came to do some damage! Featuring over 56 minutes of nasty Trap and Twerk tracks, this mix has big tunes from start to finish. It reminds us of a few live sets we’ve heard from one our favorite Trap artists: RL Grime. We likey. As we near the home stretch of our Summer Series, let’s crank it up a notch with one of Dallas’ finest. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 197: Part 5 – Human

Resident DJ Massive Spectre completes his Element Series in this final installment by exploring what it means to be human. We soared through the sky with Air, got down and dirty with Earth, explored the depths of an abyss with Water, ignited the passion of our souls with Fire, and now…we come full circle with Human. In 61 minutes, you will never be the same. As our Summer Series continues on, we invite you to keep the music loud!

Ep. 196: Funk Revival

It wouldn’t be our Summer Series without the funky fresh Johny Reedickulos stopping by to groove up our airwaves. If you’ve heard his work on the podcast before — this is his 11th appearance, by the way — you know the dude’s got some mad talent and records each mix live and unedited. This one is no different. Featuring 65 minutes of funky, groovy Jackin’ House and House tracks, this mix feels as good as a pair of fly ass kicks. Time to press play and keep the music loud!

Ep. 195: High Voltage

Things are piping hot in our Summer Series as we welcome newcomer and Dallas-local DJ Jeremy White to our airwaves. And he came to throw it down, folks! Featuring 61 minutes of hard-hitting, amped up EDM, Electro House and Festival House bangers, this beauty was made to be played at maximum volume on the biggest stage. It showcases some creative edits and hype mixing from Jeremy himself. Get ready to send your summer party off the chains. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 194: Solar Eclipse

The Master of Trance and one of our best friends from across the Atlantic is back in this week’s Summer Series episode! Carlos makes his 13th appearance on our airwaves with one of his best mixes to date. He recorded it live, in one take, with 8 different CD’s (we love that old school vibe)! The result is a 72 minute mix with some reworkings of a few of the greatest electronic songs ever created. Carlos said he drew his inspiration directly from the summer and its corresponding festivals. We invite you to go along for the ride by keeping the music loud!

Ep. 193: Waves

The sun has been relentless the past few weeks but we’ve got a remedy for you. Take off those clothes, throw on this week’s mix from resident artist Red (of The House Brothers) and let it burn, baby! ‘Cause this week’s episode is a heater! Perfect for grabbing a 2nd degree burn (er…tan), there are plenty of hot beats to go around in this one. Beware of tight bikinis and strong martinis…keep the music loud!

Ep. 192: Light It Up

Two of Dallas’ finest are back kicking some ass in this week’s episode! Making their 5th appearance on the podcast, DJ Serb & Sweetleaf throw down a monster 75 minute mix that tears through genres like a fat guy at the pudding buffet. Future Bass, Trap, Bass, Electro House and House are all featured and masterfully mixed. As our Summer Series takes it up a notch we invite you to keep the music loud!

Ep. 191: Groove Is In The Heart

Our good friend and Dallas-local decks-master Reckless Ryan is back, baby! Making his 7th appearance on our airwaves, he helps us dip our toes in the shallow end of the pool in this smooth burner of a mix. It’s 60 minutes of grooved out Tech House, House and Deep House tracks that are perfect for hanging out in the summer sun. Ryan can do no wrong as we catch some rays, throw on our shades and keep the music loud!

Ep. 190: Tough Cookies

Honey child, lace up those boogie shoes, get your ass in the car and head to the disco with me! Resident DJ Wade Weston is dropping an hour-long set and I ain’t missing his ass again. He’s supposed to be spinning some bass-heavy Tech House, Booty Tech and hard-hitting House music. And you know that shit’s my jam! So don’t be frontin’, put one foot in front of the other and let’s go check out that bad mamma jamma! You don’t like it? Tough cookies!

Ep. 189: Lucid Dreams

As our Summer Series rolls on, we bring back the Dallas-based Tech-master BR∆VE to our airwaves for his 8th appearance. No surprise here, folks, it’s another heater! Boasting a who’s who of Beatport’s top downloads, this 64 minute mix features 5 of the best Tech House & Techno tracks released in the past 3 months followed by another 5 classic Tech-inspired masterpieces from the past 3 years. Close your eyes and you’re transported to the dark corners of an Ibiza dance floor. After dancing all night, you work up a sweat and stumble out of the club onto the island sands. You then cleanse your body and replenish your soul in the shallow shore of the Mediterranean. It’s a perfect summer night. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 188: Politicus

It’s Memorial Day weekend, party people! You know what that means? Our Summer Series has officially arrived! We couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate the occasion than by having one of the most talented DnB DJs back on our airwaves. Dallas-born mixmaster J Clay makes his return in this week’s episode. Featuring 71 minutes of vibe-filled Liquid Drum & Bass tunes, all masterfully put together, this mix is perfect for laying out by the pool or soaking up rays at the beach. Get your sunscreen, towels and swimsuits ready…summer is finally here! Feel the vibes and keep the music loud!

Ep. 187: Right Place, Right Time

We’ve got a special treat from across the globe in this week’s episode! Hailing from Newcastle, Australia, Shiki is a young, up & coming artist with mad talent. We got to hang with him during Australia’s EMC Play week (spoiler alert: he’s a hella cool dude). He’s brought with him a vibrantly eclectic mix to our airwaves in this special episode. Featuring just under 60 minutes of Future Bass (including 2 tracks from his recent EP) and genre-busting Trap/Hip-Hop tunes, this mix is perfect for leading the northern hemisphere into the summer months. Get your jam on and keep it loud!

Ep. 186: Alice Went Too Far

Resident DJ Roscoe (from The House Brothers) takes us WAY down the rabbit hole in this week’s episode! Featuring an inspired 57 minute mix of Jackin’ House, House, Tech House and even some dark Industrial Techno, this is truly an experiment in the art of DJing. It’s raw, unpredictable and eclectic. We invite you to keep the music loud as you embark on the journey.

Ep. 185: Can You Feel It

We welcome the return of the one and only Josh Usre in this week’s episode! He nearly blew the doors off our place 1 year ago with a hellraiser of a mix in Ep. 136. And not surprisingly, he’s got more of the same in store for us! Featuring just under 57 minutes of Bigroom, Electro House and Bass House monsters – including 8 personal mashups – this bad boy will have the kiddos going crazy. Crank up the volume so you can really feel this one. Let’s go!

Ep. 184: Evolution, Vol. 2 (Live)

The west coast King of Funk is back in this week’s episode — and it’s another Electric Retox record! Johny Reedickulos makes his 10th appearance on the podcast by dropping an unprecedented 150 minute mix! You read that right. For the next 2.5 hours, you’re going on an auditory journey jam-packed with groove-infested electronic tracks guaranteed to make your ass shake. Tech House, Techno and Jackin House music are all featured in this epic masterpiece. Oh, and did we mention this was recorded live? Get your mind ready and keep the music loud!

Ep. 183: Interstellar Transmissions

Our good friend Carlos is back on our airwaves in this week’s episode. Marking his 12th appearance on the podcast, this may be his best work yet! Featuring 63 minutes of high-energy Trance, Uplifting Trance and Vocal Trance tunes, this mix has so much power it can make contact with extraterrestrial life! Who wants to explore the universe with us? Keep the music loud!

Ep. 182: Event Horizon

Austin-based CHINT has opened for some of the biggest names in the electronic game (Mark Knight, Green Velvet, Josh Wink, MK…to name a few). He graciously shared his opening sets for Way Out West and James Zabiela on this podcast to huge support from our listeners. It’s with great excitement that we bring him back in this week’s episode — this time sharing an exclusive mix he dropped to open for the legendary John Digweed! No surprise, it’s dope. Featuring nearly 65 minutes of Techno, Minimal and Deep Tech House, there’s no turning back in this one. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 181: Everybody Was Freakin

Resident artist Red (from The House Brothers) returns to the decks in this week’s episode. And hot damn, it’s a goody! Featuring 63 minutes of grooved out Techno and Tech House baby-makers, this mix asks a simple question: who’s out on the dance floor freakin’? The answer: EVERYBODY. We invite you to join the madness. Keep the music loud, party people!

Ep. 180: Wild Nights

The third time’s a charm for Big D mix-master Adam Charles in this week’s episode. Making his 3rd guest appearance on the podcast, Adam drops yet another monster of a mix. It’s 60 minutes of high-energy EDM, Big Room and Electro House tunes book-ended by 2 killer originals from Adam himself. You’re doing yourself a disservice if you don’t have the volume cranked for this one, as it makes for a wild night. Keep it loud!

Ep. 179: Speed Of Light

When Electric Retox started back in October of 2013, one of our goals was to provide variety to our listeners. Too many podcasts we listened to were featuring the same genre and overall sound week after week. Why not play House one week, Trap the next and follow it up with some Trance? It was a way to keep it interesting for our listeners and allow DJs the opportunity to expand themselves by trying out new things. No guest artist has embodied this more than Dallas-local Reckless Ryan. On our podcast alone, he’s played G-House, Trance, Latin House, Techno, House, Nu Disco, Deep House, Brazilian Bass and Tech House tunes. In this week’s episode, Ryan makes his 6th appearance featuring a new genre that’s he never played before: Liquid Drum & Bass. We invite you to keep the music loud for this 59 minute journey into sound!

Ep. 178: Aftershock

We welcome the return of Dallas-local DJ Serb & Sweetleaf in this week’s episode! Their last Halloween mix is our 4th most popular episode to date so it’s only fitting that this is the 4th podcast appearance by the dynamic duo. And per usual, they’ve come armed with some FIRE! Featuring 89 minutes of hard-hitting Trap, Bass House, Dubstep and Future Bass jams, they’ve packed an incredible 64 tracks into this party-starter of a mix. Be sure to stay ’til the end, as the last track is an original and it’s catchy as hell. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 177: Part 4 – Fire

The Titan Prometheus gave fire to mankind and for that, he was exiled and cursed. Roscoe discovered his love for Trance, and for that, he is cursed. His newest addition to his five part series explores the many sides of Uplifting Trance such as beauty, rage, joy, fear and peace. One could say this is why Trance is the fire in Roscoe’s mind, body and soul.

Ep. 176: Beyond The Multiverse

This week saw NASA announce the discovery of 7 Earth-like planets outside our solar system. But what about beyond our galaxy and past the Milky Way? What lies outside the known existence of our universe? Marking his 7th appearance on the podcast, Dallas-based DJ BR∆VE takes us on an aural journey to the great beyond in this week’s episode. Featuring over 59 minutes of cerebral Techno, Deep House, Tech House and Electronica tracks, we invite you to allow the music to take you to parts unknown. Many discoveries await you…keep the music loud!

Ep. 175: Raven

Doubting, dreaming dreams no mortal ever dared to dream before, we’re excited to welcome newcomer J Clay to the podcast — but a newcomer nevermore! Hailing locally from the Big D, he’s brought with him a wicked-good mix for this week’s episode. Smooth, sexy and infused with nonstop energy, this 73 minute mix has the perfect curation of Liquid Drum & Bass tracks made for a long midnight drive. Like Poe’s poem of the same name, we invite you to dive into the hypnotic sounds of the Raven. Keep the music loud for evermore…

Ep. 174: Seatbelt Not Included

You know that feeling you get when you’re slowly climbing the first massive incline of a badass roller coaster? The building anticipation as you peer down the steep angle of that huge drop? That’s what you’re about to experience in this week’s episode — and the man in charge of the ride is none other than incredibly talented MrPanda. Making his 4th appearance on the podcast, his skills are on full display in this 58 minute mix that was recorded live on 4 decks (can we get a “Damn, son!”). He starts us off gently with about 14 minutes of smooth Drum & Bass tracks before going full throttle with 44 minutes of Hardcore tunes that will kick your ass into high gear. We’d invite you to buckle your seatbelts but they’re not included with this one! Keep it loud!

Ep. 173: Mix Action Ms. Jackson

This is an ode to Friday night. It’s a celebration of surviving your 9 to 5 another week. A salute to skating through your classes the past 5 days. We all seem to go harder on Friday nights. It’s as if we’re giving an emphatic middle finger to the crappy week we just experienced. And we have an entire Saturday to recover so why not go balls to the wall? Fun, crazy, sometimes messy, other times downright weird, resident artist Wade Weston pays homage to the most interesting of nights in this week’s episode. Featuring nearly 64 minutes of Tech House, Booty Tech, House and Bass House jams, this is a nonstop mix with no downtime so you best be ready, friends. It’s Friday night….

Ep. 172: For The Love Of Bass

We welcome the return of Rhode Island-based Bass-master Boltcutter in this week’s episode! It’s been a little over 2 years since we had him on in Ep. 041 and we’re now kicking ourselves for not having him back sooner! We’ll warn you up front for this episode, kiddies — this mix will test the LFEs of your sub woofer in a BIG way. Featuring 59 minutes of hard-hitting Breaks, Neurostep, Neurofunk, Dubstep and a few other Bass-heavy genres, this bad boy should be sent to Master P ’cause it’ll make anyone say UHH! No excuses for this one…keep it loud!

Ep. 171: Interlude

Mad feels in this week’s episode. In an acutely curated mix from resident artist Red, this 62 minute exploration features some beautifully melodic downtempo tracks we’re excited to put on our airwaves. Sometimes mellow, other times groovy — it’s an all-around good time. Turn it up and disappear.

Ep. 170: Evolution, Vol. 1

Techno is the “it” genre at the moment and Dallas has a booming Techno scene! Our good friend Johny Reedickulos joins in on the fun with a monster Techno mix for this week’s episode. This is his 9th appearance on the podcast and we love seeing his versatility on display. Featuring nearly 95 minutes of pulsating Techno, Minimal and Tech House tracks, this mix was born to shake the walls of an underground warehouse rave. Let’s get the party started…keep the music loud!

Ep. 169: Left Behind

Could 2017 be the year of Trance? Only time will tell. But we’re certainly keeping our fingers crossed. To get the year properly kicked off, we’ve invited back our dear friend Carlos for his 11th appearance on the podcast. And as expected, he delivers again! Featuring 66 minutes of Trance, Vocal Trance and Uplifting Trance tracks, this mix is beautiful, powerful, energizing and moving all wrapped into one. Let’s start 2017 off with a bang, party people! Keep the music loud!

Ep. 168: Bootygasm

Happy New Year’s Eve, party people! As we usher in 2017, we’re stoked to have our 3rd annual NYE mix from the supremely talented SS Mayhem. Pardon our French but this one is fucking fire! In a tightly packaged, 56 minute Rasta-inspired journey, this bad boy starts off pretty groovy before taking off at warp speed. It features House, classic Electro House, Dutch House (remember that genre?), EDM and even a few hard-hitting Dubstep, Trap and Twerk bombs that are specifically designed to get your ass shaking. Say goodbye to shitty 2016 in true Rastafarian fashion by keeping the music loud! Seeya next year, ‘mon!

Ep. 167: Never Alone

Ever since Ep. 147 aired, we’ve been wanting to have the hella talented CHINT back on the podcast. Today, the wait ends! After dropping one of our most popular mixes to date, the man-with-the-plan has returned with more fire in this week’s episode. This time he teamed up with Remmington – the owner and creator of Austin’s famed Kingdom nightclub – to throw down a 99 minute mix that oozes late night vibes. It’s got dark, melodic Techno, hypnotic Tech House and some downright nasty Warehouse tracks for your listening pleasure. And if that isn’t enough for you, the duo performed this as an opening set for the infamous James Zabiela. Time for us to shut up and crank the music. Keep it loud!

Ep. 166: Summer In December

Reckless Ryan is back, baby! We love having the uber-talented, Dallas-based artist on the podcast because he constantly challenges himself by playing different genres. Making his 5th appearance on our airwaves, this mix is no exception. Featuring nearly 59 minutes of Nu Disco, Indie Dance and Deep House tunes, this feel-good episode is built for the southern hemisphere as they celebrate the start of summer. Feel the vibes, have a smile and keep the music loud!

Ep. 165: Pyrotechnics

After a 3 week vacation, we’re back and ready to kick some ass! We couldn’t think of a better guest artist to invite back for the occasion than Dallas-local Adam Charles! Making his second appearance on the podcast, Adam brings a ton of fire in this week’s mix. Featuring 63 minutes of huge Progressive House, Electro House, Bigroom and EDM tunes — and even a couple badass original tracks from Adam himself — this little puppy will melt your face if you’re not careful. Get your fire extinguisher ready, kiddies, ’cause this baby is hot! Keep the music loud!

Ep. 164: Part 3 – Water

Resident DJ Roscoe (from The House Brothers) returns with Part 3 of his Elements Series in this week’s episode — and it’s nothing short of beautiful! Our vast oceans are deep, calm and enticing but they can also build into powerful tidal waves. Roscoe’s mix mirrors this perfectly. Featuring nearly 59 minutes of atmospheric Deep House, Progressive and Deep Tech House tracks, the mix crescendos into energetic, good-feeling vibes about 45 minutes in and never looks back. We invite you to dive in by keeping the music loud!

Ep. 163: Party In The Hot Tub

Making his 6th appearance on the podcast, Dallas-local mix-master BR∆VE is back with another sexy, booty-shaker of a mix for this week’s episode! And per usual, his track selection is on fleek! Featuring 68 1/2 minutes of groovy Tech House, Deep House and Techno jams, this mix reminds us of late night clubbing in Ibiza. It’s also perfect for the forbidden hot tub party at your parents’ vacation condo 🙂 Party on, kids and remember to keep the music loud!

Ep. 162: Halloween 2016

Let’s be honest, Halloween is one big excuse to party. We get dressed up in amazingly ridiculous costumes, slam a few (or dozen) drinks and rage like we won’t make it to Christmas. Maybe that’s why we love it so much. In the spirit throwing down a helluva party, DJ Serb & Sweetleaf return for their 3rd appearance and a special treat for the occasion. From the first track to the last, this 115 minute mix features party-starting Trap, Melbourne Bounce and Bass House across a record 95 tracks! Keep it loud and have a Happy Halloween, party people!

Ep. 161: BOOM, Vol. 4

Part 2 of this episode is Volume 4 of Johny Reedickulos‘ BOOM series. It’s also the final installment. We’ve proudly featured all 4 volumes on our airwaves and this mix is a helluva send-off. Johny’s signature style is on full display in this 76 minute mix full of Techno, Breakbeat and Tech House jams. Perfect for the late hours of a warehouse party, it’s a fitting end to an incredibly successful anthology. Let’s not waste any more time…keep the music loud!

Ep. 161: BOOM, Vol. 3

This episode is lucky number 7 for our good friend Johny Reedickulos! Our talented, west coast, funk-master comrade is back with a special two-part episode to conclude his BOOM series — and we’re really excited about this one. Frankly, we’ve nearly run out of good things to say about Johny but we’re gonna go out on a limb and say these 2 mixes are his best yet! This mix is Volume 3 in his BOOM series and packs a helluva punch. Featuring over 84 minutes of Garage, Tech House, Techno and Jackin’ House tracks, this mix is such an infectious monster that we dare you not to dance. Without further ado we invite you to keep the music loud!

Ep. 160: Auditory Osmosis

We’ve got some hard-hitting Dubstep in this week’s episode! Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Ian Blaze presents NVIKTO as our guest artist — and holy crap does this mix ROCK! Featuring just under 1 hour of soul-shaking Dubstep, Bass, Hybrid and Glitch-infused tunes, this bad boy will keep you going into the wee hours of the morning. Open your mind, feel the bass and let the music take control…

Ep. 158: Transcendent

This marks the 10th occasion we’ve had our good friend Carlos on the podcast! This is a record for our guest artists and we couldn’t be happier! Carlos was the first guest DJ we had on our airwaves (back in Ep. 005) and has consistently been among the most talented live DJs we feature. He records every mix live without the use of software/editing and does a helluva job each time. This week’s episode is no exception. Featuring nearly 62 minutes of heart-pounding, energetic Trance, Vocal Trance and Progressive Trance tunes, this mix starts at 126 BPM and works its way up to a whopping 138 BPM. Buckle your seat belts, kiddos, because you’re about to transcend! Keep the music loud!

Ep. 157: Johny Funk’n Reedickulos

Featuring 72 minutes of Jackin’ House and bass-thumping, Disco-infused House tracks, this mix is so groovy it should come with bell-bottoms. If you dig the vibes head over to Johny’s Mixcloud profile to keep the party going. Until then, keep the music loud!

Ep. 156: To A Higher Level

In this week’s episode, resident DJ Red (from The House Brothers) continues the Techno vibes we’ve had going. Featuring 63 minutes of melodic, driving and sometimes dark Techno beats, this mix is aptly named. ‘Cause once you take a hit of this monster, you’re heading to a higher level…keep the music loud!

Ep. 155: Brainbug

We’re always excited to have Reckless Ryan on the podcast because he’s fearless behind the decks. Latin House, Trance, G-House..the dude can play it all — and HAS on our airwaves. He’s also a legit producer (check out his Soundcloud) and spins at some of the hottest Dallas joints. For this week’s episode, Ryan drops a 62 minute mind-melting journey of a mix. This bad boy goes from Tech House and Brazilian Bass all the way to some dark ass Techno beats. And we can’t get enough! Don’t sleep on this one, kids. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 154: Defiance

Leading us back into the cooler months, resident DJ Roscoe (from The House Brothers) lays down a mix that’s nothing short of a force to be reckoned with in this week’s episode. Featuring 61 minutes of pulsating, heart-pumping Trance, Progressive Trance and Vocal Trance tunes, this mix was genuinely inspired by the Syfy TV show Defiance. Get ready kids, ’cause we’re about to head to the moon and back! Keep the music loud!

Ep. 153: Full Throttle

For the last episode of our Summer Series, we’re stoked to have Dallas-local DJ & producer Adam Charles on the podcast! It’s his first time on our airwaves but he’s no rookie to the music scene. He has an eclectic variety of Bigroom, Progressive and Electro House sounds that don’t conform to anyone’s perception of music but his own. As the summer festival season winds down, this 60 minute mix officially says goodbye with its big sounds and high-octane energy. Let’s end the summer with a bang by keeping the music loud!

Ep. 152: Firestarter

Dallas-local mixmaster Dave Smith returns to the podcast under his new moniker BR∆VE. If you remember his work under duo Dois Reis, you know the quality we’re about to hear. Featuring nearly 113 minutes of Techno, Tech House and Deep House heaters, this week’s episode is all about setting the dancefloor on fire. Careful with this mix ’cause this baby is hot! As our Summer Series winds down we hope you continue to keep the music loud!

Ep. 151: Fire Island Summer

This week marks the return of our east coast friend and Disco master Sean Hanna. We do enough talking so we’ll let Sean share his thoughts on this Summer Series episode. “Fire Island holds a special place in New York’s history as not only a gay mecca but somewhere that Disco lives and still thrives to this day. I wanted this mix to reference the original Disco classics that would have played at famous clubs like the Blue Whale, The Sandpiper and the Ice Palace to more modern Nu-Disco that could be heard at pool parties or along the beach.” Without further ado, we invite you to keep the music loud!

Ep. 150: Mind, Body, Soul

Established in 2013, Electric Retox has turned 3 years old! That’s 150 episodes of some of the finest electronic music the world has to offer! We want to thank YOU, our dedicated listeners, for allowing us to be a part of your weekend the past few years. To commemorate the 3 year milestone, our 3 resident DJs have compiled a 3-part mix lasting just under 3 hours — all tied to our original motto of ‘Mind, Body, Soul’. It’s a celebration of the journey we started 150 episodes ago. As always, we invite you to keep the music loud!

Ep. 149: The Hustle

Our Summer Series gets bumping in this week’s episode! Featuring the return of Buggzy BLUE (definitely revisit his Ep. 123 mix), we’ve got some hard-sitting Bass in store for our listeners. Ep. 148: Sands of Time

Another episode into our Summer Series, another new artist on the podcast! We’re stoked to highlight the diversely talented PVLMS duo from Norman, Oklahoma in this week’s episode. Featuring the eclectic sounds of Lexi Sacco & Frank Stevens, we can’t decide if they’re more talented DJs or producers because whatever they put out seems to always get us going. If you dig the mix be sure to check out their Soundcloud page for more great music. But right now, we present their 57 minute mix full of Tech House, Electronica, Techno and Deep House Jams perfect for listening to as the sun goes down. Keep the music loud!

Ep. 147: Nightfall

We’re very excited to feature another Texas artist on the podcast! He’s new to our airwaves but certainly not the music scene. From the great capital of Austin, CHINT has been setting the dancefloor on fire at the world-famous Kingdom nightclub for some time. He’s opened for some of the biggest DJs on the planet and brings us a special treat for this week’s Summer Series episode. The 81 minute mix you’re about to hear was his opening set for the infamous Way Out West duo. If you dig the sounds and are in the area, be sure to check out CHINT every Friday & Saturday at Kingdom Afterhours or hit up one of the shows he’s opening. You won’t be disappointed. Without further ado…keep the music loud!

Ep. 146: Summer Heat

He’s back with another duo-mix under the moniker Loud & Silence, featuring his ‘River Trance’ co-organizer DJ Silence. Together they’ve reached new heights, delivering a 2 hour mix full of soul-enhancing Uplifting Trance, Vocal Trance and Progressive Trance beauties. As always, the mixing is tight and the energy invigorating. Let’s all drift away to those summer dreams…keep the music loud!

Ep. 144: Transitions – Analog to Alcohol

What’s better than House music in the summer time? Nothing. The correct answer is nothing. If you got that wrong then you need to turn up the volume for the next 160 minutes. That’s right, we said 160 minutes! The West Coast Funkmaster Flash is back, baby! We’re talking about our good friend Johny Reedickulos making his fifth appearance on the podcast. Armed with over 2.5 hours of groovy House, Tech House, Jackin’ House and Disco House jams, this mix has good times in store for the pool party, beach day or any other warm weather-related activity that you’ve got going on. Close your eyes and fade away with the music….

Ep. 142: Party Like It’s 2012

We got a blast from the past for this week’s episode! Resident DJ Wade Weston recently stumbled upon an old tracklisting from 2012 and decided to lay it down. The result is a dope throwback full of tracks you forgot existed or haven’t heard in 4 years. Either way, you’ll need your dancing shoes for this 59 minute, carefully-crafted trip down memory lane. Time to get the pool party turnt up! Keep the music loud!

Ep. 141: Viva La Musica

Our Summer Series continues on with one of our favorite Dallas-local DJs! Prime time Reckless Ryan is back for his 3rd appearance on the podcast. We’re beginning to think his music library is bottomless because he dropped a G-House set for his first mix, a Trance set in the second and now a sexy-ass Latin-inspired House mix in this week’s episode. This flawless 58 minute baby-maker will transport you to the sands of Ibiza as you dance under the summer sun. Get ready to sweat and keep the music loud!

Since his first official release in 2012, Joe has constantly been pushing his sound to the masses with continued support from some of the biggest names in the game. We also want to thank the incredible collection of guest DJs we’ve had on the podcast. It’s an honor to showcase such talent. To give 2015 a proper send-off, we’ve invited the mysterious and sexy SS Mayhem to rejoin our airwaves. Ep. 110: Fracus & Darwin – Diversions feat. MrPanda (Live)

We’ve got a badass treat in store for our listeners in this week’s episode! Our first back-to-back mix features THREE DJs — an internationally acclaimed duo and the return of one of our most popular local DJs.

Up first is the critically-acclaimed Fracus & Darwin with a tightly mixed set of their new, fourth artist album. Having been allowed total creative freedom in their approach, the result is a vibrant, varied, and passion-filled collection of tracks that go beyond Hardcore, and take influence from every corner of the rave spectrum. Their rise through the ranks to the main stages of the UK, USA rave scenes (and beyond) hasn’t been meteoric, with each passing year the high quality and variation of both their productions and live performances have earned them a hard-fought, slow & steady rise in popularity. With both a domestic and international fan base built up through extensive DJ dates and consistent productions, this is an album which will appeal most to those who enjoy a wide variety of influences. From euphoric vocal anthems, Electro and EDM-influenced sounds, rolling basslines and breakbeats, this is a true melting pot of rave music, all stamped authoritatively with 2015 production and style. It truly is the best Fracus & Darwin album yet (Hardcore Underground Ltd)!

That monster album is immediately proceeded by Dallas’ own MrPanda (from Ep. 084), who returns with another high-energy mix that will get your grandmother amped up! His last episode was one of our most popular and it’s not hard to hear why (if you’re not onto his work yet, get your ass over to his Soundcloud page and give him a follow). Hardcore, Breakbeat Hardcore and DnB are all flawlessly mixed into a perfect 65 minute package. Enjoy this special episode, party people! We know we will. Tune in and keep the music loud!

Ep. 103: Endless Summer (Poolside)

The kings are back, baby! The local-to-Dallas duo with a Portuguese name and penchant for sleek tunes have made their return to the podcast — and we’re stoked! Dois Reis employ their same successful formula from Ep. 083 with an inspired mix full of Tech House, Deep House and Techno bangers. If it’s still hot where you live, head to pool and soak up the sun for the next 61 minutes! Just remember to keep the music loud!

Ep. 102: The Progressive

We couldn’t be happier that the talented, Dallas-local Shann Vahle (SV+) is making his return to the podcast (remember his kickass mix in Ep. 057?). Ep. 100: Greatest Of All Time

Party people, we’ve been so excited to share our special 100th episode with you for a long time! This is a milestone for us and we want to celebrate it with YOU, our beautiful listeners! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for allowing us to party with you every Saturday. From international DJs to superstar producers, Dallas-local mixmasters to unknown bedroom DJs across the globe, we hope you have enjoyed the great music we share with you each week. It has been our privilege and pleasure. In honor of this great celebration, our resident DJs (The House Brothers and Wade Weston) bring us the 15 greatest electronic tracks of all time! Our team composed a list that was voted on by thousands of EDM listeners all over the world. As with any list, it’s completely subjective and you may not agree with each selection but there’s one thing we will guarantee — you’ll have a smile on your face for this trip down memory lane. Enjoy and keep the music loud!

Ep. 099: The Lost Beacon

This week’s mix came to us from somewhere unknown and far away. Late one night, our radio picked up a random signal broadcasting a blend of Trance and Drum & Bass. The music had a feeling that someone or something was reaching out to us through their favorite sounds in electronic music. And since music is the universal form of communication, we can only speculate if they were of this planet. At the end of the broadcast we heard only one name, Ser Nygel, and then the signal was gone. So we have dubbed the recording “The Lost Beacon” and wish to share what we heard as this week’s episode.  No one knows where they are from or if we will hear from them again…Tune in and keep the music loud!

Ep. 098: Retro Funk

Well party people, this is the last episode of our Summer Series! It’s amazing how time flies when you’re having fun. We couldn’t think of a better way to end the summer than by inviting the funkified groove-master Johny Reedickulos back to our airwaves. Sent with love from sunny SoCal, this 64 minute mix is chock full of Jackin’ House, Electro Funk and good ‘ole fashioned House jams worthy of busting out your bell-bottoms. Say goodbye to the summer by tuning in and keeping the music loud!

Ep. 097: House Of Love

Resident DJ Red (from The House Brothers) has found Jack in this week’s episode. And Jack had a groove. He shares Jack’s groove with the world in this 64 minute mix full of funkafied, groovy House jams primed to heat up the dancefloor.
