Ep. 250: Origins

5 years. 250 episodes. 55,000 subscribers. When we started the podcast in 2013, it was just 3 friends in Dallas wanting to put together and share DJ mixes on the internet. We barely knew what we were doing and had no idea if anyone would listen. What motivated us then and what continues to connect with listeners all across the world now is something pretty simple: music. It inspires. It transcends. And it’s been the singular focus of our podcast for our entire existence. We hope you’ve heard some really good music over the past 5 years. We know we have. In that vein, our 3 co-founders have put together an episode of music that inspired them when they first started DJing 10 years ago. It’s an origin story. Enjoy, keep the music loud and thank you for an incredible 5 years!

Ep. 249: Infinite Destinies

As our 2018 Summer Series winds down, we have a very special announcement to make. Our good friend Carlos, who was our first guest artist and has provided nearly 20 mixes for more than 4 years, has officially joined the podcast as a Resident DJ! We couldn’t be more excited to have our Norwegian brother as an official member of our Electric Retox family! To celebrate, Carlos drops a signature 65 minute Trance mix full of all kinds of goodies, including a crazy Psy-Trance track to cap things off. Quality stuff, as usual. Let’s hold on to those summer vibes by keeping the music loud!

Ep. 248: Call Of The Wild

Time to drop some DMT in this week’s Summer Series episode! DMT is the aptly named, DFW-local brainchild of Dreadnaught (from Ep. 230) & Michael Todd (a 28 year pro in the Dallas music scene). As a duo, DMT breaks through any genre boundaries and pushes a wide-reaching auditory experience to dance floors — making crowds move, shake and get lost in music that is both powerful and unanticipated. And in this week’s episode, they do just that! Featuring an epic 2.5 hour mix full of banging underground Techno, Tech House and Industrial tracks, we’ve got a wild one for ya, party people! Heed its call…
